Toyah’s arrested for murder

Toyah Battersby (played by Georgia Taylor) is shocked when she finds her sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) telling someone on her laptop screen that she loves them. As Toyah suggests it’s Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper), Leanne denies it.

Deciding to tell Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) what she heard, he’s shocked and heads straight home, where he finds Rowan and Leanne holding hands on the sofa.

Will Leanne have an explanation for their closeness?

Not trusting Rowan, Toyah begs her sister to open her eyes and see him for what he really is. However, they’re interrupted when the police arrive.

Newcomer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) suddenly arrests Toyah for murder after the body of a baby was found buried in the park.

Carla is exposed to The Barlows

Joel Deering (Calum Lill) tells Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that he has booked a table at the bistro tomorrow, so she can meet his parents before heading off to visit Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) to discuss his plea.

Elsewhere, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) tells Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) about Ellie and how Nathan also used to abuse her. Giving him her address, Bethany is hopeful it can help.

However, when Craig calls at Ellie’s place, he meets her flatmate who reveals that she’s moved out and seemed to be frightened about something.

Later on, Dee-Dee accidentally lets slip to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) stitched up Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) by giving the police a false statement and Carla went along with it.

As The Barlow family gather in the Rovers later on, Adam decides to reveal everything Dee-Dee told him. He wastes no time in sharing that Bobby gave the police a false statement, which caused Daniel to become a prime suspect in Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) murder investigation.

How will the family react knowing Bobby lied and Carla went along with it all?

Abi decides to take action

In the week, Abi Franklin (Sally Carmen) is tearful as she confides in Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) that her online troll has reposted one of the deep fake videos.

When Craig calls at the garage, he’s the bearer of bad news as he admits to them the police are no nearer to knowing who is responsible for posting the fake videos.

He suggests it might be in her best interest to hire a lawyer.

When two lads call at the garage, they make lewd remarks and Abi is in despair about the fact that someone is trying to ruin her life.

Wanting to help, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) suggests they try and use the online management company that Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) contacted for Asha Alahan ( Tanisha Gorey)

Later on, the twins' adopted mother cancels their visit to see Abi, which makes her realise she needs to try and get the videos taken down as soon as possible.

Sadly, it seems as though that may not be a possibility as Kevin and Abi discover the online management company will charge £5k per month to remove the videos.

Knowing that the price isn’t affordable for them, they’re both left in despair.

Bethany becomes a victim of fraud

After finally getting her mail redirected from London, Bethany is furious when she discovers that someone has been fraudulently using her old company credit card.

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) suggests that Beth obtain copies of the statements in a bid to prove she couldn’t have made the purchases.

Wanting to get to the bottom of it, Bethany decides to seek advice from Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm
