Emmerdale: Tom King gives dog Piper injection shocking viewers

Emmerdale fans have spotted something that could bring Tom King's (played by James Chase) reign of terror to an end.

The evil vet has been abusing his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for months and has been physical with her, including holding her hand underneath a burning tap and punching her in the stomach.

Last week, Belle finally snapped and she shoved Tom over in front of horrified villagers. Unbeknownst to Belle, she supported Tom's claim that she has been the one abusing him.

Belle checked herself into a mental health unit and refused to let Tom visit, opting for Lydia (Karen Blick) instead. In a bid to regain control over his wife, Tom injected Piper with a substance that rendered her unable to move.

Viewers were so sickened by the scenes that they turned to broadcasting regulator Ofcom. Tom manipulated Lydia into telling Belle the news about Piper, and his plan worked as she returned home from the mental health unit.

But fans believe this could be the start of Tom's downfall, pointing out that Belle and others could watch Tom's abusive behaviour on the puppy cam they have in their living room.

Writing on X, one said: "Hope Tom gets caught out via the puppy cam and justice will then be served." Another queried: "Can Belle not use the puppy cam to record Tom's behaviour too???"

A third asked: "Is the camera Tom put up to spy on Belle still recording? Has it recorded him punching her and injecting Piper?" Meanwhile someone else wrote: "Honestly cannot cope with the acting from Tom any longer absolute garbage.. someone watch camera footage and have done."

During Thursday's instalment of the ITV soap, Tom continued playing the hero as Belle praised him for saving Piper. Lydia and Sam (James Hooton) arrived for an impromptu visit to check on how Belle was doing.

Once Tom suggested Belle go upstairs, he told the couple to let him know whenever they plan on visiting, claiming it could damage Belle's recovery if they don't.

After Sam and Lydia left, Tom told Belle he was heading out to grab some food. Tom told Belle he would lock the door behind him, asking: "You don't need people dropping in now, do you?" Belle had no choice but to agree with her husband as he made sure she couldn't leave the house.
