The Chase: Two contestants take on Mark Labbett in final round
ITV’s beloved game show The Chase returned to scenes with Bradley Walsh and Anne Hegerty as the Governess.
The episode was a Soccer Aid special which saw famous faces behind the panel in hopes of winning money for the children’s charity, UNICEF.
The contestants included TV host Dermot O’Leary, Premiere League presenter Lynsey Hipgrave, reporter Kyle Walker and comedian Alex Brooker.
However, as the episode continued fans were dumbfounded to discover the special originally aired in 2023.
Many took to social media enraged and accused the network of “scamming” viewers to donate towards the cause.
Taking to X, an enraged @dwangeddy slammed: “Imagine if they showed a whole evening of Red Nose Day and it was a repeat? We get scammed for our money relentlessly.”
@SallyAnneHarri4 joked: “#thechase Yay! It's yet another repeat Quelle surprise.” (sic)
As @TonyCalder17 fumed: “Why is this a repeat? The money has already been won and paid so this is a con @itv #thechase.” (sic)
While @IAmCodeNinja questioned: “Soooo with this being a repeat does Soccer Aid get another £169,000?” (sic)
