Taylor Swift sparks uproar as furious fans pay hundreds in VIP – and get blocked view

Taylor Swift kicked off the British leg of her worldwide Eras Tour on Friday with a three-date show in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Murrayfield Stadium.

Although fans were thrilled to see the hitmaker take to the stage and perform new songs for her recently released Tortured Poets album, others could hardly see the star.

Ahead of her concert in Liverpool, social media has been filled with footage from the shows including Taylor’s “foul” snot blunder.

As well as the excitement, one concertgoer also shared their disappointment after sending hundreds for the VIP package.

Taking to TikTok with a clip, user Holly Evans revealed she was seated behind beams and could hardly see the songstress after forking out over £600 for a seat.

In the video, the fan's view of the stage was completely restricted by steel girders, beams, large tents and crew members.

Taylor was peeking behind the obstruction as she told the crowd: “I have not gotten to be in Scotland in almost a decade now, it was almost ten years ago.”

However, the fan was forced to film the big screen in the clip, captioned: “Was a great show Taylor, couldn’t see you though.”

This sparked fear among other concertgoers as @emilymason250 admitted: “I’m scared of this happening in Ainfield.”

@shelbyt_: “I’m so worried this is going to happen to me in London, they didn’t show where the towers would be until the month after I booked the tickets.”

While @aliceemmilyprivvv added: “Me last night, it was so infuriating to pay all that money for VIP just to not be able to see her half the night.”

The concertgoer paid £662.40 for the it's been a long time coming package which comes with” one unforgettable reserved seated ticket” and a “special set of four Taylor Swift prints.”
