TM: Ben tells Cat off for revealing age of Sherrie Hewson

Ben Shephard playfully reprimanded his co-host Cat Deeley on Wednesday's episode of This Morning.

The light-hearted moment unfolded as the duo were previewing the day's content for viewers just as the show began.

R3vealing that they'd later be speaking with Sherrie Hewson, Cat said: "She's best known for playing Corrie's Maureen Holdsworth but now Sherrie Hewson is making history in Hollyoaks as she becomes the show's oldest serial killer."

"She's going to kill me for saying this at 73, she'll be joining us live."

Cat disclosed, causing Ben to laugh before he teasingly chided her for revealing their guest's age, reports the Mirror.

In a humorous exchange, Ben quipped: "Don't reveal the age of a serial killer! Are you mad?!" to which Cat responded: "Why on earth did I do that?!"

Their banter appeared to be all in good fun, with Ben having already made several playful remarks towards his co-star earlier in the week.

During a previous show, Ben couldn't resist taking a dig at Cat's husband while discussing the recent crowning of the world's ugliest dog.

The winner, an eight year old Pekingese named Wild Than, suffered lasting effects from a virus contracted as a puppy.

When guest panellist Sonia Sodha mentioned that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Cat concurred, adding, "I also quite like an underdog! I quite like a dog with literally three legs or-".

Ben playfully quipped to Cat: "That's why you married Paddy [Kielty]? "when discussing the topic of attractiveness in dogs.

The light-hearted jab left their guests taken aback, eliciting a mix of shock and laughter. An astonished Car responded by saying, "Oh my goodness, you know he's poorly at the moment! So, he can't sort you out! ".

Since stepping onto the screen together as hosts of the ITV series since March, following Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's departure, Cat and Ben have developed a cheerful on-screen dynamic, regularly seen bantering and joking around throughout the program.

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am
