BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty forced to apologise after live blunder disrupts show
On Saturday's instalment of BBC Breakfast, Charlie Stayt was caught off-guard by Naga Munchetty's interruption.
BBC Breakfast: Naga interrupts Charlie by sneezing
BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty suffered a slight mishap on Saturday morning during the show. As the pair finished speaking about Elivis Presley’s shoes recently being auctioned, they swiftly moved on to Glastonbury festival, which is taking place this weekend.
Charlie Stayt commented: “On the musical theme, for a lot of people in the music business, playing Glastonbury is-” . However, he was quickly cut off as Naga let out a huge sneeze, stopping the BBC host mid sentence.
After excusing herself, Charlie looked a bit taken aback as he said: “Bless you”.Looking straight into the camera, she said: “Sorry!”
Although her co-star didn’t seem to mind as he replied: “It’s alright, doesn’t happen very often.” Naga reached behind the sofa to grab herself a tissue as Charlie told her that he’d carry on with his sentence.
While the BBC presenter continued to touch on Glastonbury, Naga faced the camera again, this time with a tissue in hand.
However, it looked as though she was trying to stifle another sneeze. After viewers saw a snippet of Dua Lipa’s performance at Glastonbury from Friday night, they returned back on-screen.
Introducing the weather segment, Naga quipped: “Good weather at Glastonbury. Hay fever, that’s what it is! Hay fever, high pollen count is still around.”
Charlie asked: “Is that what that was just now?”
As Naga laughed, slightly embarrassed by the whole ordeal, she replied: “I don’t know!”

Asking whether or not she’s recovered from the mishap, she added: “We’ve recovered, we’ve recovered.”
Cutting to weather host Elizabeth Rizzini she couldn’t help but take a jibe at Naga’s loud sneeze after the presenters asked how she was doing.
Elizabeth replied: “I’m fine actually, there#s no grass here in my weather studio, unlike where you are so all is good!”
Although it was Naga’s outfit choice that seemed to steal the show as many were quick to comment on the bright ensemble.
Wearing Fuchsia pink trousers with a long-sleeved orange blouse, some viewers were quick to comment on the bold outfit choice.
One person wrote: “Naga's outfit is giving me a chance to test my contrast settings.”
With another viewer adding: “Naga dressing like a Fruit Salad sweet.”
