Alison Hammond has candidly shared her insights on her stint in Strictly Come Dancing as news of Graziano Di Prima's dramatic exit from the BBC hit headlines.
The beloved This Morning host, at 49, took part in the iconic dance show a decade ago, partnered with the charming Aljaz Skorjanec who is slated to make a grand comeback this year after stepping back for two seasons.
During Monday's episode (July 15) of the ITV staple, Alison reminisced about her experience during a gossip segment alongside Capital FM's Jordan North.
Leaping into the discussion, Jordan stated: "There's been a BBC investigation into his conduct on the show. This is what Graziano said, he said 'I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it's best for the show that I step away.'".
He went on to reveal the broadcaster's statement affirming Graziano's exit: "Now in response, the BBC has confirmed that Graziano is no longer part of the line-up. He was very popular amongst the fans and they say 'We will always act swiftly as appropriate to concerns.'", reports the Mirror.

Jordan then touched upon the swirling speculations surrounding the incident:"There's been lots of reports in the papers about what's gone on and unspecific allegations made by people working on the show and apparently they observed a rehearsal between Graziano and Zara McDermott who he was partnered with last year."
"They were together but we have got to stress Zara herself did not make the allegations but has apparently spoken to BBC bosses. 'He was very popular but he won't be on the show.'".
Alison chimed in: "I think sometimes your passion for wanting to win can overspill into inappropriate behaviour, can't it? ". Jordan responded: "I didn't realise but the professional dancers are the ones who really want to win," and Alison added: "Yeah they're the ones who really want to teach you, so if you're doing it right they'll be like, do it again and again."

Reflecting on her own experience, she shared: "I had Aljaz Skorjanec and he was absolutely incredible and as you know going back into Strictly. He was so amazing to me and gentle as well and kind. I've never experienced anything bad really."
In a statement shared on Instagram, Graziano wrote: "I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it's best for the show that I step away."
"While there are aspects of this story involving external influences that I can't discuss at the time, I remain committed to being strong for my family and friends." I wish the Strictly family and the BBC nothing but success in the future. I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career, both professionally and personally."
In a mysterious conclusion to his statement, he hinted: "When the time is right, I will share my story."
