Extraordinary Dogs
EACH year the world’s best ‘mushers’ gather in the Swiss Alps for one of the toughest sled-dog races.
With their Alaskan and Siberian huskies the mushers (people who compete in cross-country races with dog teams) race over a 550-mile course. Meanwhile, in Queensland, northern Australia, things are hotting up as odour detection dogs sniff out tiny but vicious fire ants.
