The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC1
THE stakes are raised even higher in the seventh series of The Apprentice, with no job with a six-figure salary on offer this time.
Instead, the 16 candidates are vying for £250,000 investment to start their own company, with Lord Sugar (Karren Brady and Nick Hewer) as their partner.
The candidates have been selected for their burning passion for business but only one will win the money, hoping
to prove to Lord Sugar that they possess the commercial acumen and business skill to be his equal.
Tonight the candidates are split into two teams and each is given £250 to invest in fresh fruit and vegetables to sell on to hungry Londoners. Lord Sugar makes it clear that he expects a high return.
