Midsomer Murders actor apologies to 'bloodthirsty' fans after no-one dies in new episode
MIDSOMER MURDERS failed to live up to both its name and reputation on Wednesday evening after it broadcast an episode that did not include a single killing.

Shocked fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment after not one person died for the first time in the ITV show's history.
One of the drama's main stars Gwilym Lee has since apologised to "bloodthirsty" viewers and promised many more gruesome moments to come.
"Oh and sorry for the lack of murders in Wed's ep of @MidsomerTV - seems ur a bloodthirsty lot! We'll make up for it in the rest of the series,"(sic) the 32-year-old tweeted.
Despite more than 100 episodes having aired in the 18 years since Midsomer Murders began, the instalment was the only one to not to have featured a murder.

The missing victim in the saga, which also stars Neil Dudgeon, turned up alive and well at the end.
Midsomer Murders is thought to average two deaths per show, in what is known as the deadliest TV county in history.
"Was this the first episode of Midsomer Murders without an actual murder @ITV? I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of them," one viewer complained.

Another user agreed: "Trades description act breached @Midsomer Murders a couple of half hearted assaults but not one murder gruesome or otherwise #fail."
"Well that's a first. No murder in #Midsomer Murders," another tweet read.
However, one fan stated: "We thought it was really cool that there weren't any murders. Loved it."
