Britain’s Got Talent child star Shaheen Jafargholi lands EastEnders role as Carmel's son
IT HAS been a staggering seven years since viewers were first introduced to adorable signing sensation Shaheen Jafargholi on the third series of Britain’s Got Talent.

The Welsh child star, who sang at Michael Jackson's memorial service, has now landed a part in "iconic" show EastEnders, it has been announced today.
The singer, who is now 19, will be playing ?Carmel Kazemi's (Bonnie Langford) son Shakil ?in a big new storyline for the family.?
Kush's 15-year-old younger brother reportedly arrives in Albert Square in the hope of reuniting his divorced parents, according to DigitalSpy.
Speaking about his new role, Shaheen said: "I’m so excited to be joining. I’ve been a fan since I was a little kid so to now be a part of something so iconic is an honour."

The teen continued: "I’m also really excited to be working with a legend such as Bonnie. I’m having so much fun playing her son and can’t wait for people to finally meet Shakil."
It is also thought Shaheen's Walford alter ego soon finds romance after appearing on screens for the first time in June.
The actor has also previously starred in other BBC shows including Casualty and Torchwood.

Shaheen won over the nation and BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan when he belted out Who's Lovin' You in 2009.
He impressively made it through to the finale, however finished in seventh place. The season was won by dance troupe Diversity.
After his appearance on the ITV show, Shaheen performed at the late King Of Pop's memorial service, which was televised globally, and he is now said to be working on new music.
