DAVID BOWIE’S voice will be making a welcomed appearance in the current cycle of Peaky Blinders, after the late singer personally requested his music be used for the drama’s third series.

Cillian Murphy revealed the musician got in touch with show bosses, granting permission to feature a collection of his music in the show after coming forward as a huge fan.
“This mad thing happened about six months ago I suppose, maybe last Autumn,” the Irish-born actor said during an interview with BBC Radio 6. “Steve Knight [the show's creator] got a call from David Bowie’s people saying that Bowie really wanted to have some of his music used in the show.
"We were all completely blown away as you can imagine, all being massive Bowie fans. And then he passed which was so sad.
"The great thing is that you will hear some music in the show, I hope."

Bowie lost his brave and private battle with cancer in January, but shared his excitement over the gangster series in the most appropriately Bowie-esque way he could.
Knight recently revealed the legendary star “sent a photo of himself with razor blades in his cap to Cillian” about a year ago.
“I got in touch with his people who came back straightaway and said he was a big, big fan,” he told Radio Times.

The Birmingham-based series returned to a great reception from fans earlier this week, while Murphy teased the current run is “much f**king darker and weirder” than it’s ever been before.
