Piers Morgan called a 'toad' by anti-Trump journalist
The pair came to blows as they discussed the US president-elect and his views on Brexit, with the presenter defending the Republican.
Piers argued that there was nothing wrong with Trump's ambition, commenting: "There's nothing wrong with having a big view, nothing wrong with being confident. There are many traits of Trump that I do like and there are other traits that I don't like.
"I wouldn't have personally voted for Donald Trump because I'm not a Republican."
However, he added that he didn't like reading articles from journalists like Mark who claimed Trump "didn't know what Brexit was 10 days before the election".

Piers argued that journalists keep saying that Trump didn't know what Brexit was
Piers insisted: "I myself have interviewed him twice, months and months before, and he obviously knew what it was. I say to you guys, isn't it time you yourselves stuck to a more accurate pitch than just throwing these smears around."
But the journalist certainly wasn't impressed with the 51-year-old as he hit back: "That's nonsense and you know it! The American press is not going to buckle under. You're a toadie. Good luck!"
Piers laughed off Mark's insult, while co-host Susanna Reid concluded the interview: "Mark Singer with that zinger!"

Piers recently slammed Charlotte Church on Twitter over Trump's inauguration
Last week, the Good Morning Britain host defended Trump on Twitter when he slammed Charlotte Church when she revealed she had been asked to sing at his inauguration but had declined.
The Welsh singer tweeted: "@realDonaldTrump Your staff have asked me to sing at your inauguration, a simple Internet search would show I think you’re a tyrant. Bye.”
But her comments angered many of the Republican's supporters including Piers, who hit back: "Oh pur-lease, he’s never heard of you, you ridiculous creature."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
