EastEnders spoilers: Jack Branning to be IMPRISONED following Hunter Owen twist?
EASTENDERS fans may be looking to lose another member of Albert Square after Hunter Owen has taken revenge into his own hands - could it lead to Jack Branning’s downfall?
EastEnders: Jack and Hunter reconcile their differences
Tonight’s episode of EastEnders saw Jack Branning (played by Scott Maslen) tackling the subject of the missing E20 money.
And he had one person in mind to blame: Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter).
After the £15,000 went missing, Jack deduced that only a small number of people had access to the club after hours.
Despite Mel Owen’s (Tamzin Outhwaite) insistence that Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) was to blame, Jack simply wasn’t convinced.
But Mel wasn’t happy when Jack broke the news to her that her son was suspect number one.
Naturally Mel defended her son, and would not accept the notion that Hunter was responsible.
However Jack used his old tactics of deception by convincing Mel police were in the club.
As she ran to the scene, Jack confronted Hunter for the second time - but this time, alone.
Although he remained calm, Jack continued to grill the youngster on whether he was involved in the robbery.
But Hunter maintained his position, and grew angrier over being called a liar in front of his mother.
Hunter took his revenge to another level, as he ominously covered his hand in a rag.
Later Jack was visited by Mel who was furious, and claiming he had beaten up her son.
A confused Jack looked at Hunter in disgust as he realised what was going on - he was being framed.
But will Jack’s apparent assault put him in a difficult situation?
Although Mel doesn’t like dealing with police, Hunter could now use this attack as blackmail against him.
But this attack on himself could also incriminate Hunter, as Jack may link it back to the stolen money.
Could this event cause Jack to press Hunter further on the robbery?
Or could this be the final straw for Jack after the multiple issues he has had with Hunter this year.
EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
