Don't give footy the booty
Joe Denly is the latest player to be struck down by England's football curse but there's still no better way to limber up for a match.
That’s the view of England’s former physio Dean Conway who worked with the national team for over a decade before
leaving to work with Glamorgan.
Denly, who scored 67 on his debut against Ireland, missed the opening One Day International against Australia at the Oval after he was carried off following a rash challenge from Owais Shah in the build-up.
“All the boys love a kick- around,” said Conway. “There are risks associated with all sorts of things but I would say it’s probably still safe to have a kick-around if you’re sensible.”
