World MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo to stay on top
JORGE Lorenzo looks set to continue his early-season World MotoGP dominance after smashing the Assen circuit record to put his Yamaha on to pole for today’s sixth round, the Dutch TT.
The Spaniard, who has won three races and finished second twice, has a 37-point advantage over Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso, who starts from the second row of the grid.
Cal Crutchlow, meanwhile, claimed provisional pole start for the eighth round of the World Superbike Championship at Misano.
