Bahrain protests threaten grand prix
BERNIE ECCLESTONE says anti-government protests in Bahrain could threaten the first race of the season in three weeks.
Ecclestone is concerned about the rise in protests since the fall of Egypt’s president last week. “We will need to see how things develop in the region,” said Ecclestone. “F1 has such a global reach that it is an obvious target for anyone sending a message.”
A full test with all cars and equipment will be held the week before the opening race.
