Arsenal news: Gunners fan address Mesut Ozil bust-up rumours – WATCH
ARSENAL fans have to trust Unai Emery amid rumours of a bust-up with Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal fans debate possible bust-up between Ozil and Emery
That’s according to Arsenal super-fan DT from AFTV.
Ozil was absent from Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham today after falling ill.
However, the confirmation of the German’s mystery illness came just hours after reports surfaced that Ozil had had a bust-up with manager Emery in training this week.
According to ESPN, Ozil argued with the Gunners boss before walking out of training on Friday.
“Ozil had an argument with coach Emery at practice this week, came out screaming and is cut today,” ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco tweeted.
The midfielder was replaced by Aaron Ramsey to face the Hammers today, and after the game, AFTV contributor DT was asked about what he knew about Ozil’s situation.
But DT refused to go into too much detail, instead insisting that while Arsenal missed Ozil against West Ham, fans should trust Emery and his decisions.
“I don’t want to go too much into it and what I’ve heard and what people are saying,” he said.
“I don’t want to say too much because at the end of the day, I don’t want no negativity around the club right now.
“He’s [Emery] stamping his authority and as fans we’re going to have to stand by him whether we like the decisions or not.
“I think we missed Ozil in parts today, that creative side.
“But there’s a reason for everything and we’ve got to trust him and go with what he’s deciding to do and if they’ve had a big bust-up, remember I said if they’ve had a big bust-up…”
Host Robbie Lyle then questioned: “What did you hear then?”
DT responded coyly: “Nothing. I heard he had flu.”
Robbie continued to push DT for an answer but the Gunners mega-fan remained tight-lipped on what he’s heard about Ozil’s situation.
