LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has responded to a question about Mohamed Salah’s muted celebrations against Red Star Belgrade.

Liverpool romped to a 4-0 win at Anfield on Wednesday to leave themselves top of their Champions League group (Group C).

Salah - who had been going through a goal drought - grabbed a double as the Reds enjoyed a handsome victory.

However, the Egyptian star was rather subdued after hotting the back of the net and he refused to celebrate his strikes despite being mobbed by his team-mates.

Although ordinarily it might be a cause for concern, Klopp isn’t too worried about Salah.

When the question about Salah's non-celebration was put to Klopp after the match, he said: “He is completely fine. Really.

“If he is not celebrating, I don’t know if he is maybe a bit annoyed about getting asked about it [his scoring record].

“We didn’t speak about it, to be honest.

“You ask him all the time and then I go to him and say.

I know he is fine – and I saw his face when I took him off! That was different

“How do you feel because you haven’t scored as often?’ – I am not crazy! It is all good.

Salah is still making things happen despite fatigue says expert

Salah’s strikes took him to 50 goals overall in a Reds shirt and he reached the milestone in just 65 matches.

And Klopp was impressed, adding: “It only happens if you work hard, if you are in the right spaces, if your teammates see you in the right moments and if you make the right runs, then you can score.

“It is an exceptional number and hopefully he can continue.”
