Newcastle star urged to REJECT Arsenal and join Inter Milan instead
NEWCASTLE forward Ayoze Perez should NOT join Arsenal and move to Inter Milan instead.
That is according to ESPN FC pundit and former Newcastle goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Perez is finishing the season well for the Magpies, scoring five goals in his last four Premier League outings.
The Spaniard has reportedly attracted interest from both Arsenal and Inter Milan.
Hislop believes Perez is more likely to get regular game time in Serie A than at the Emirates.
If I’m advising him, and it’s a choice between the two, I go to Inter
“You can understand the interest,” Hislop said.
“There’s also suggestion that Inter Milan are interested.
“And I’ll be honest, if I’m advising Ayoze Perez, given what’s happening at Inter, given they’re not quite sure whether [Mauro] Icardi’s staying, who the manager will be, and then you look at what’s happening at Arsenal.
“I don’t see him getting in ahead of [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang and [Alexandre] Lacazette, certainly as good as that partnership has been.
“If I’m advising him, and it’s a choice between the two, I go to Inter.”
Arsenal have also been linked with Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.
And Hislop says that deal is more likely for the Gunners.
“I don’t think he will cost an awful lot,” Hislop said of Fraser.
“I don’t think it will be in that £40million bracket.
“I think Arsenal can get him at a reasonable price.
“When you consider the company that he’s in, only Eden Hazard has more assists than Fraser in the Premier League this season.
“I’d take a chance on him at the right price.”
