Neymar or Kylian Mbappe could seek PSG summer transfer, Thomas Tuchel hints at FALL OUT
NEYMAR and Kylian Mbappe have come to blows at Paris Saint-Germain according to reports and Thomas Tuchel has hinted both could leave the club this summer.
As both forwards seek to hold the baton as the club’s superstar, their big personalities are said to have clashed in the wake of a disappointing season.
According to Spanish publication SPORT, after losing the French Cup final on penalties to Rennes, Neymar called out the young members of the squad.
The Brazilian told them to talk less and perform more on the pitch after the club were on the end of a shock in the French capital.
Mbappe considers himself as one of the players Neymar was addressing with the strong comments.
The report claims the pair no longer interact and have split peers in the dressing room, which jeopardises the chances of them playing together next season.
Thomas Tuchel has hinted that the stories could be true by surprisingly claiming they may not be at PSG next season.
"I want Neymar and Mbappe to continue with us next season, but if that doesn't happen we'll find solutions,” he said on Thursday.
The world’s most expensive player has been forced to watch the majority of the business end of the season from the sidelines, including the club’s disappointing exit from the Champions League to Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Mbappe has become PSG’s main man as seen in the first-leg at Old Trafford where the Frenchman stole the show.
When the duo first arrived, Neymar was considered the prince of the project, but now in the wake of his injury problems, Mbappe has taken over.
This was perhaps depicted best by the 20-year-old’s comments on Sunday, claiming he was ready to start a different chapter in his career.
"This was the only title that I was missing. I am truly very happy," Mbappe said during his acceptance speech at the UNFP Awards in Paris.
"I want to dedicate it the president, I know that he was affected by a tragedy this year.
PSG: Moreno discusses Kylian Mbappe transfer rumours
"I want to thank all of the people who put together this league. I succeeded in adapting in my first year, to change position this year.
"There were some disappointments, but that is part of football. This is a very important moment for me.
"I am arriving at the second turning point in my career. I have discovered an enormous amount of things here.
"It is maybe the moment to have more responsibilities, maybe at PSG, with pleasure, or elsewhere for a new project. In any case thanks everyone!"
