The 46-year-old came in on an interim basis when the club sacked Joe Mourinho last season and after impressing at the club where he made his name as a player, he was rewarded with the job on a permanent basis.
And now Gary Neville has responded to a fan's query if the former England right-back would also take on the role if the opportunity ever came up.
That call isn’t coming and if it did I would run a mile

Although it wasn’t a successful spell with the La Liga club as during his 28 games in charge, during the 2015/16 season, he only managed to win 10 games and was sacked after four months.
Neville’s response on social media came during a question and answer session he was partaking in on Sunday night.
And his response to whether he would take up the reigns at Old Trafford came after a fan asked him if he would go back into football management, which Neville replied: “No.”
Neville has also previously made it clear that he believes Solskjaer should be given the chance to develop his squad this season and have the next two windows to give him the chance to bring his plans into fruition.
“He should get the transfer window in January, into the summer and next season,” Neville told Norwegian outlet TV2.
“Then there has to be a progression, you have to see improvement, but look at Jurgen Klopp. It took four years before he won anything, but it started to get better after 12 months.
“It is a young team, and I as a Manchester United supporter believe he should get this and next season.”
