Redknapp: Put King in frame
HARRY REDKNAPP reckons Spurs crock Ledley King must go to the World Cup – even though Fabio Capello can’t pick him in the qualifiers.
The England central defender can only play once a week for his club because of long-term knee problems.
Yet White Hart Lane boss Redknapp insists the player – out of the latest squad with a groin injury – should still be on the plane to South Africa in June.
Redknapp, who denies falling out with England boss Capello over King, said: “Nobody deserves to play for England more than this boy. I’d take him to South Africa. It’s our biggest opportunity to win the World Cup.”
