Abuse can’t faze Pardew
SOUTHAMPTON boss Alan Pardew knew to expect a rough ride from Charlton fans during a 1-1 draw.
He left them last year, but had reason to be cheerful after ending their 100 per cent record as Adam Lallana put Saints ahead before Deon Burton equalised.
Pardew said: “The crowd’s reaction was understandable given that I wasn’t a success.”
Paul Trollope hailed Bristol Rovers after Jo Kuffour snatched a 1-0 win over Oldham. He said: “We ground out a result and you have to do that sometimes.”
Adrian Boothroyd paid tribute to his Colchester team after they drew 1-1 at Swindon, whose assistant Peter Shirtliff said: “I was disappointed with the goal.”
