Cristiano Ronaldo landed in Lisbon and told the media that his future would become clear 'in one hour', before Manchester United confirmed his return to Old Trafford very soon after. The 36-year-old makes a sensational move back to United from Juventus after a whirlwind 24 hours.
The Portuguese icon will officially become a Man United player once he completes a medical and puts pen to paper on a contract.
The club confirmed: "Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.
"Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester."
The Portuguese superstar returns having scored 118 goals in 292 games in his previous spell with the club.

And shortly before his move was officially confirmed, he told the media in Portugal that all would become clear within an hour.
As it happens, the deal was then confirmed even earlier than that, with an official announcement at just after 5pm UK time.
In the previous 24 hours, he had been heavily touted to leave Juventus for a new challenge after three seasons at the club.
Manchester City were in talks with his agent, Jorge Mendes, over a controversial move to the Etihad Stadium.
But United were quick to act and look set to snap up the club legend in a deal worth around £24million (€28m).
