Nigel Pearson’s moving in on Milan target
NIGEL PEARSON’S brief from owner Milan Mandaric was simple: get Leicester up at the first attempt.
Mandaric has employed six managers in 39 months and Pearson, above, is three games away from putting Leicester back in the Premier League for the first time in six years.

After falling into League One last season, Pearson brought them back as champions and is getting ready for the final steps.
He said: “It was a fairly blunt remit – get up at the first attempt – but I saw it as a great challenge.
“I’ve heard a lot of talk about what getting into the Premier League is worth, £50million or £60m. I’m not interested – but I might be in a few weeks’ time.”
