Wrexham prepare for life in the Football League
Jeff Stelling's son Robbie has penned an emotional message to his father, as the legendary broadcaster hosts his final episode of Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports during the last day of the Premier League season. Stelling Jr led tributes made by a host of famous faces from the footballing world as his dad took to the screen alongside the Soccer Saturday panel for one more time.

Robbie Stelling took to Twitter to write: "Well done Dad, so proud of you. You've put your heart and soul into the show and have no doubt left a mark on more than just the world of football. As a father and broadcaster, you have taught me so much about football and life. You are the best there has ever been x."
He then added: "I know you're going to have some more time on your hands, but please let Mum make the pigs in blankets this Xmas!"
Stelling snr joined Sky Sports in 1992 and has hosted the show since 1994, having been an unmissable character that has led coverage of Soccer Saturday, which has been a fixture of many homes across Britain for several years.

He did originally announce his departure in 2021, but went back on his original plan to continue in the host's chair until the final day of this season as he conducted on his final show.
Announcing his surprise departure from the show, Stelling said: "I've been at Sky for more than 30 years and loved every moment of my time as part of the Soccer Saturday team.

"It is now the right time to move on and give Sky Sports viewers a break from my relentless rants, bad gags and over the top celebrations of Hartlepool United goals. It's been a lot of fun - for me at least!"
Chris Kamara, a regular on the show alongside Stelling, also paid tribute to the broadcaster. "This Sunday sees the last day at Sky for the best broadcaster I have ever met @JeffStelling," he tweeted. "I am getting my tribute in early because Jeff has been a massive part of my life and I love him to bits. One of the things I do miss is working with the maestro. There will never be another. You are 'Unbelievable Jeff' - and always will be."
Stelling then responded: "We did ok Kammy didn’t we for two scruffy kids from either side of the River Tees. All those feelings are mutual btw. Thanks Pal. Take care !"
