Brendan Rodgers departs as Leicester manager after Foxes slide into bottom three
Rock icon Rod Stewart has likened Brendan Rodgers' reported return to Celtic to the act of 'taking back a cheating wife' after the Northern Irishman ditched the SPL champions for Leicester City in 2019. The Celtic-mad 78-year-old slammed Rodgers for ruining his holiday four years ago when he decided to leave first time around but it's all water under the bridge as far as he is concerned now.

Celtic are currently in advanced talks with Rodgers over a second spell as manager at Parkhead and the contract is expected to be signed imminently.
Reacting to the news during a recent apperance on talkSPORT, Stewart said: "I don't know. For me, it's like when your wife's left you and gone off with someone else and come back.
"That's how I feel about it. Forgive and forget - he's the right guy for the job now. He loves attacking football, Ange has left him a wonderfully attacking side."
Stewart was fuming when Rodgers first left Celtic off the back of a treble-winning campaign and admits he wasn't able to enjoy his summer getaway to Dubai as a result. "It's ruined my holiday! I actually got a bit choked up I must admit," he said back in 2019.
"Obviously he was going to go sooner or later, but I would have thought he would have seen out the next two-and-a-half months and get the treble Treble if possible. I think there might be a lot of ill-feeling at Celtic now with the fans with him leaving us in the lurch."

Rodgers will fill the vacancy left by Tottenham-bound Ange Postecoglou. The Aussie manager recently signed a four-year deal with the North Londoners, who had to pay Celtic £5million in compensation to facilitate the deal.
He will join his new squad of players on July 1 for pre-season preparations after two years at Celtic in which he won consecutive Scottish Premiership titles and a domestic treble this season.
