Pompey still in a points pickle
DAVID LAMPITT, Portsmouth’s new chief executive, has just over two weeks to stave off the threat of another points deduction at the start of the new season.
He must ensure the company voluntary arrangement (CVA) proposals sent out last week are agreed by creditors on June 17 so that the future of the club is secured. If the CVA cannot be agreed, Pompey could start life in the Championship with a deduction of up to 17 points .
Lampitt said: “I can’t promise a quick fix but I believe we can get the club back on its feet . ”
