Man Utd summer transfer plan 'ready' as Erik ten Hag shares thoughts on three players
Erik ten Hag claims Man Utd have a plan ready to execute in Sir Jim Ratcliffe's first summer transfer window.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed there is a plan in place for the first summer transfer window of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era. Ten Hag has defended his recruitment record at Old Trafford but welcomes the imminent input from United's new-look football hierarchy under the INEOS banner.
The Red Devils are primed for a notable summer, the first opportunity for Ratcliffe and INEOS to oversee significant changes on the pitch after making an early impact off it.
Movement in and out of Old Trafford is expected after an underwhelming second season under Ten Hag, plagued by injuries and off-field distractions.
Chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough's departures this season signal an inevitable change in direction.
Omar Berrada is in as CEO from Manchester City, with Newcastle United's Dan Ashworth and Southampton's Jason Wilcox to follow as sporting director and technical director, respectively.
Ten Hag has confirmed that a summer plan is now set, and the 54-year-old has backed INEOS to form their new-look sporting structure in time to oversee a successful window.

"We're working in the background on plans with the scouting. So what we do with our staff, we are working on our plan. The plan is ready, but we have to execute," Ten Hag explained.
"I trust the new ownership will work as quickly as possible and bring in good, new structures and then they can execute. We have good plans, I think also with quality players."
Ten Hag looks set to surrender some control over recruitment as Ratcliffe aims to oversee a more streamlined decision-making system.
But the Dutchman has defended his transfer record since landing in M16, pinpointing Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund as positive captures from his expenditure in excess of £400m.

He added: "You see now, with our recruitment, that Andre Onana is doing very well. Rasmus Hojlund, everyone is seeing his big talent and potential.
"You can see we're doing quite good [with recruitment]. Lisandro Martinez - everyone was hugely happy with him, and there are others.
"So recruitment is good. But, if they have even better ideas, we're always open and always you have to judge. If you have options, but they come with better options, we are open.
"They have to fill us in. But we have a way we want to play, so we know our profiles and it [the recruitment] has to match the profiles we want."
