With under two weeks to go until the summer transfer window opens, Premier League clubs are working around the clock to finalise their plans ahead of what promises to be a sensational few months of drama.

Chelsea have kickstarted their window in good style by hijacking Newcastle’s move for Tosin Adarabioyo, with the free agent set to become the first signing of Enzo Maresca’s tenure. Manchester United were also interested in the centre-back and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be forced to turn his attention to alternative options, with Lenny Yoro and Ousmane Diomane among those linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also in the market for defensive reinforcements, with both clubs respectively believing that bolstering their backline options will help them close the gap on last season’s champions Manchester City.

Solanke release clause revealed

Dominic Solanke’s contract with Bournemouth includes a release clause, it has been claimed.

The striker impressed last season with 19 goals and three assists in the Premier League, putting him on the radar of several top sides.

According to The Athletic, ‘certain clubs’ are able to activate a £65million release clause in the Englishman’s contract – though it is unclear at this stage who would qualify to being able to acquire the services of the ex-Liverpool star for that fee at this stage.

Antonio Conte set to raid Chelsea of fringe star

Newly-appointed Napoli manager Antonio Conte is pushing for his side to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer, reports HITC.

The Belgian striker is expected to leave the Blues permanently over the coming months after a successful loan spell at AS Roma, with top clubs in Europe and in the Saudi Pro League monitoring his situation closely.

Conte is also among Lukaku’s admirers and is said to be pushing the higher powers at Napoli to submit a bid for the former Manchester United star.

Arsenal handed transfer blow as top target speaks out

Jorrel Hato has handed Arsenal a significant transfer blow by vowing to spend next season with Ajax.

The Gunners are keen to acquire the services of the 18-year-old this summer, but the versatile defender feels that he has unfinished business in the Dutch capital.

Hato told AjaxLife: “I'll just play for Ajax next season. I haven't finished learning here yet. And I want to win prizes with Ajax. That was my dream when I came here.”

Tottenham eye Bundesliga defender

Tottenham are reportedly considering a move for Stuttgart defender Hiroki Ito.

Ange Postecoglou made it no secret towards the latter stages of last season that his side would be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer, with several options being explored.

According to The Sun, the 25-year-old is being eyed by Spurs and has a release clause in the region of £25million which can be activated this summer.

Ito is capable of playing as a centre-back and in left-back, and his versatility is proving attractive to Spurs.

Chelsea 'monitoring' Calvert-Lewis as part of striker search

Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin is attracting interest from Chelsea, reports the Daily Mail.

The Blues are scouring the market for striker options ahead of the summer transfer window, with Benjamin Sesko and Evan Ferguson among their considerations.

Calvert-Lewis is also an option being explored by Chelsea, with the higher powers at Stamford Bridge aware that Everton will need to raise funds through player sales over the coming months.

The Toffees have offered the striker a new deal at Goodison Park but Chelsea could pounce before negotiations between the player and club advance.

Chelsea set to hijack Man Utd deal for their 'Conor Gallagher replacement'

Chelsea are set to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit of Leicester City playmaker Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

According to The Sun, the Blues have identified the midfielder as the ideal replacement for Conor Gallagher this summer.

Dewsbury-Hall thrived under the management of Enzo Maresca last season when the pair guided Leicester to promotion and thus is seen as the ideal fit for Chelsea, despite United highlighting the 25-year-old as one of their midfield targets this summer.

Brighton are also in the frame for the Leicester star, having previously failed in an attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

Arsenal 'approach' Tottenham target

Arsenal have made an approach for Girona forward Viktor Tsygankov, reports AS.

The forward has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Tottenham said to be among his suitors.

The Gunners appear to have stolen a march on their rivals in the race to secure the signature of the 26-year-old though, with Mikel Arteta ‘in love’ with what he has seen from the winger.

Tsygankov has a £25.5million release clause in his contract with Girona, which may not deter interest from Arsenal as they feel he is the ‘perfect’ addition to their ranks this summer.

Chelsea resolve set to be tested by £21m bid

Borussia Dortmund are set to table a £21million offer for Ian Maatsen, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The versatile defender penned a contract extension with Chelsea before heading to the Signal Iduna Park last summer, in what proved to be a very successful loan spell.

Dortmund are therefore keen to retain the services of the left-back but are hoping to negotiate a deal with the Blues for less than his £35m release clause, with an opening offer set to be lodged soon.

United open talks over £51m star

Manchester United have reportedly approached Lille to sign Lenny Yoro.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a big-money move this summer, with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain among his suitors.

But United have attempted to steal a march on Yoro’s suitors by opening talks with Lille, reports Marca.

The Red Devils are said to be ready to table a £51million bid for the teenage defender, in what would be a significant sign of intent from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co.

Seven stars leave Man Utd

Manchester United have announced that they have released seven players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane are the most marquee departures, with academy graduate Brandon Williams also departing.

Veteran midfielder Tom Huddlestone has also been allowed to leave the club, along with youngsters Charlie McNeill, Marcus Lawrence and Kie Plumley.

The Red Devils also confirmed that they are locked in negotiations with Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans over new contracts.

Chelsea plot Man City raid

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are set to battle it out to sign Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez this summer, reports Argentine news outlet Mercado de Pases.

The playmaker has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer due to a lack of regular minutes, despite making 36 Premier League appearances.

Several clubs are said to be monitoring Alvarez’s situation as a result, including Chelsea – who will be hoping to raid City in successive windows after signing Cole Palmer last summer.
