Teams will also be scouting Euro 2024 with an eye on unearthing the next gem. Some young stars have already impressed at the tournament, giving scouts and heads of recruitment plenty to think about.

Chelsea interest in Premier League ace hit stumbling block

European clubs dealt blow by German Euro 2024 progress
Top clubs across Europe have been dealt a blow ahead of the 2024/25 season, as Julian Nagelsmann's contract with the German national team has been extended to the 2026 World Cup.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a clause was inserted into Nagelsmann's deal which meant if Germany made it to the round-of-16 at this summer's European Championship, his contract would be extended.
Nagelsmann has been previously linked with Premier League clubs, but it appears the German will be off the market for a while longer.

Arsenal could revive interest in Premier League ace
Arsenal could look to reignite interest in Wolves winger Pedro Neto this summer.
It's claimed by GIVEMESPORT that Mikel Arteta is keen on the 24-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Portugal at Euro 2024.
The report claims Arteta is pushing for attacking reinforcements this summer, as he looks to inspire the Gunners to their first Premier League title in over 20 years.
Erik ten Hag keen on Ligue 1 striker as Man Utd summer hots up
Manchester United are reportedly keen on Lille striker Jonathan David.

UEFA rule blocking key Man Utd transfer
A UEFA rule blocking clubs within the same ownership group from completing transfers could hamper Manchester United's summer transfer activity.
The Red Devils have been in talks with Ligue 1 side Nice over a potential move for Jean-Clair Todibo.
But as per Fabrizio Romano, the UEFA law means any move this summer is now unlikely to happen.
That's because both United and Nice will compete in next season's Europa League.

Liverpool hoping for Real Madrid slip-up in pursuit of young star
Liverpool are reportedly waiting in the wings to sign Leny Yoro, should Real Madrid fail to sign the young defender.
Yoro is attracting interest from across the continent, with the reigning European champions tipped as favourites to land his signature.

Yoro, 18, has just one year left on his contract and could leave Lille on a free transfer next summer.

Jarrad Branthwaite questioned as Man Utd make offer
Jarrad Branthwaite has been told he’s only had one good season by Manchester United icon Paul Ince.
The Red Devils are strongly interested in the defender and are widely reported to have submitted a bid to Everton over the last few days.
That offer, reported to be in the region of £35m, has been rejected.
But Ince is not convinced by Branthwaite.
"Jarrad Branthwaite has had a steady season in a team that struggled against relegation in Everton, and we're talking about a player that came from Carlisle," Ince told Bet365.
"He's made great strides in such a short space of time so I think a move to Manchester United is a possibility. The problem is that United have signed players in the past that have had one good season."
Branthwaite shone for Everton last season and was part of the extended 33-man preliminary England squad picked for the Euro 2024 warm-up matches. He made his senior international debut against Bosnia two weeks ago.
The 21-year-old was also excellent on loan at PSV the year before.
Liverpool express interest in Euro 2024 star
Liverpool have been added to the clubs interested in signing Riccardo Calafiori this summer, The Athletic report.
Newcastle, Brighton and West Ham have reportedly already enquired about signing the centre-back from Bologna.
Calafiori, 22, impressed in Italy’s Euro 2024 win over Albania earlier this week.
Man Utd receive bad update on striker target
Manchester United target Joshua Zirkzee reportedly wants to stay in Italy.
United were claimed to have been readying a £34m bid on Tuesday.
However, Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Bologna forward wants to remain in Italy.
He has interest from Juventus.
Liverpool target eyes talks
Federico Chiesa will hold talks with Juventus over his future once Italy’s Euro 2024 campaign is over, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Chiesa is a long-term target for Liverpool and the winger could be on the move this summer.
He scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances last season.
Chelsea double hijack
Chelsea could have two deals hijacked over the coming weeks.
A move for Pedro Lima to join sister club Strasbourg was scuppered by Wolves, who have announced that the teenager will instead join them subject to ‘customary conditions’.
And now a deal for Crysencio Summerville could be hijacked by Brighton.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brighton are in talks over signing the Leeds winger, who has been strongly linked with Chelsea.
Man Utd make £25m bid
Manchester United reportedly made a £25m offer for Barcelona star Fermin Lopez.
The technical midfielder is the right kind of profile for Erik ten Hag’s system.
However, Sport report that Barca knocked back the bid for the 21-year-old.
United are still expected to have a busy summer replenishing Ten Hag’s squad.
