Premier League better than posh schools
IT is far too easy to dismiss Premier League footballers as ill-educated, but the latest report shows top-tier football clubs offer a better education than leading schools such as Winchester College or Charterhouse.
The education arm of the Premier League, who take care of the off-field studies of all 16 to 19-year-olds at academies up and down the country, has just been given the highest “outstanding” rating by Ofsted, better than the “satisfactory” and “good” status of those other two institutions.
