Andy Johnson in Fulham contract dispute
MARTIN JOL is at loggerheads with Andy Johnson over a new contract at Fulham.
Cottagers boss Jol is in discussions with the striker and says he wants to offer him an extra year on top of his current deal, which expires in the summer.
However, former England forward Johnson, who cost £10.5million when he signed from Everton in 2008, is hoping to net a two-year deal.
Jol said: “I talk to him almost every day. I tell him that the difference between one and a half and two years is not much.
“But he doesn’t agree. He wants this year and another two years. That is the only thing we are arguing about.”
