Spurs making little headway with Valencia forward Roberto Soldado
SPURS appear to making little headway in their pursuit of Valencia forward Roberto Soldado.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer, and was originally considered as part of a sensational £36m double swoop for Spurs.
However, a deal appears close to collapsing as the north London outfit are reticent to meet the player's £25.9m release clause.
But Los Che coach Mirolsav Djukic has ruled out a move for Soldado this summer.
"I think Roberto Soldado will stay here," Djukic told reporters.
"He wants to be involved and has been asking what’s been going on.
"Soldado is a very important player and I want him to be the leader of this team."
Soldado hit 28 goals for Valencia last season.
