Arsenal 3 - West Ham 1: Podolski bags a brace as Gunners reclaim fourth spot
ARSENAL reclaim fourth spot from Everton after beating West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates.
It was the visitors who took the lead shortly before the half-time whistle through Matt Jarvis, who headed in from close range after Wojciech Szczesny denied Antonio Nocerino.
But the hosts didn't take long to score the equaliser after Lukas Podolski drilled the ball beyond Adrian from a Santi Cazorla pass.
The second half was all Arsenal and Olivier Giroud was able to make up for his shocking first-half to put his side in the lead.
The Frenchman pulled off an amazing first touch in the box and cooly put the ball through the legs of the keeper.
Podolski then put the result beyond any doubt by hammering it past Adrian after a neat header down from substitute Aaron Ramsey.
