The £5m-rated Argentine defender Liverpool, Man Utd and Everton are fighting Barcelona for
LIVERPOOL, Manchester United and Everton must fend-off Catalan giants Barcelona if they are to land Sevilla centre-back Federico Fazio.
Reports claim that the £5m-rated defender is being tracked by a number of European clubs, who are all at the mercy of Luis Enrique's Barcelona, should they choose to acquire his services.
The authoritative defender stands at 6ft 5" and is expected to have no problem adapting to the physicality of the Premier League.
At 27-years-old, Fazio could easily fulfil a five-year deal and may even be seen as a long-term replacement for the departed Red Devil's captain Nemanja Vidic.
The Argentine has enjoyed a productive season with Sevilla, helping the side land their first competitive trophy since their 2009–10 Copa del Rey triumph.
Fazio has been capped at international level, however breaking into a side with such established defensive names as Pablo Zabaleta; Ezequiel Garay, Marcos Rojo and Martin Demichelis is no mean feat.
The Sevilla man's current contract is not due to expire until the summer of 2018 - giving the La Liga club complete control in any price negotiation.
