Twitter goes into meltdown as Liverpool's Luis Suarez handed four-month ban
LIVERPOOL fans have reacted with dismay to the news that Luis Suarez has been banned from all football-related activity for four months.
The ban - announced today by FIFA - means Suarez not be able to play again until the start of November.
That means he would miss Liverpool's first nine games of the Premier League season and make his return against Newcastle on November 1.
Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter:
Luis Suarez has now been banned for 34 games since 2010 without receiving a single red card #URU

A gentle nibble for Suarez - he'll be back playing again by end of October. And can pay the fine from 4 days wages.

Statement says Suarez will be fined in Swiss francs, unconfirmed whether it will go directly into Sepp Blatter's account.

Luis Suarez has been banned from football for four months. One thinks it's best if he doesn't have a shoulder to cry on.

4 month ban for Suarez! Hopefully he'll come back properly trained and stick to humping defender's legs and sniffing their arses..

Suarez can always go play in leagues that are not affiliated to Fifa in the next 4 months, like Chagos Isl, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Zanzibar.

Harsh on Liverpool. We don't condone what Suarez did, but why should we be so affected? When he bit Ivanovic he wasn't banned from Uruguay.

Say there's a kid about to be hit by a bus but there's a football in the way. Is Suarez allowed to kick it out of the way, saving the child?
— Gareth Bale (@GarethBale22)Iago Aspas is currently standing in front of a mirror screaming: "This is your time, Iago! THIS IS YOUR TIME!" #BrazilNuts #Suarez #LFC

So Suarez gets 4 month ban. But if he does it again he will be neutered. It worked with our dog Charlie. Just saying. #nobitey

Love the Liverpool fans blaming FIFA for hurting the club by banning Suarez. FIFA isn't hurting the club, Suarez is.
