Calderon tells players Ronaldo is on his way
REAL Madrid president Roman Calderon has told his players that Christiano Ronaldo is "on his way" to the Bernabeu, according to reports in Spain.
Calderon, who is visiting in his team on a pre-season training camp in the Algarve, reportedly assured them that the saga over the Manchester United winger would soon be over.
According to Spanish sports daily AS, a Real player jokingly asked Calderon: "When is Christiano coming", to which he responded: "Don't worry, he will be here soon."
Ronaldo, who recently underwent surgery on his right ankle which means he'll be out of action for three months, is at the centre of a bitter transfer wrangle between the two clubs.
United still insist the player is not for sale but the Portugal international has hinted that he would like to make the move to Spain, after saying that he was a "slave" at United.
