CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at Liverpool after Brendan Rodgers rested several key men for his team's Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

The Blues take on the Reds this weekend and can expect to face the likes of Steven Gerrard and Mario Balotelli after a number of first-team regulars were relegated to the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodgers will be hoping that his tactical gamble pays off with a win against his former mentor, but speaking ahead of Chelsea's trip to Maribor, Mourinho poked fun at the Northern Irishman's team selection, hinting that a manager should put out his strongest XI against difficult opponents.
