I'm surprised Rio Ferdinand did NOT appeal against ban - Harry Redknapp
HARRY REDKNAPP has conceded he is surprised Rio Ferdinand did not appeal against his three-match ban.
Harry Redknapp thought Rio Ferdinand would appeal against his ban
The FA handed Ferdinand a ban and fined him £25,000 after he tweeted the word 'sket', a term used to describe a promiscuous woman after he hit back at a fan on the social media site.
Ferdinand, according to the FA, was harshly punished, because he is 'an experienced Twitter user' and 'he should know better'.
Redknapp admits he has spoken to the centre half and said the punishment was 'unjust'.

I spoke to him. I thought he was going to appeal
"I spoke to him. I thought he was going to appeal," Redknapp said.
"It was an unjust punishment. Someone criticised him and he hit back and that's life.
"It was a very heavy ban, but we need to move on."
