'Ronaldo's worst move'
SIR ALEX FERGUSON has stoked up the heat with Real Madrid, saying joining them would be the “worst thing” that Cristiano Ronaldo could do.
“I have a responsibility for all of my players and their futures are a big concern for a coach. If you are asking advice and it was your son, you’d give him the best advice possible on his career,” he said.
“Now, I honestly believe that could be the worst thing he could do, go to Real Madrid. He is 23 years old and he is at a fantastic football club.
“The future is he has signed a five-year contract and has four years left [on it]. That’s definite. I know that. I’ve seen his signature.
“He knows genuinely where the best club is to be – and that’s Manchester United.”
