Ryan Giggs - Life of Ryan
Giggs' solo effort against the Gunners sent the Red Devils through to the FA Cup final to eventually claim a famous treble.
However, the Welshman fears his celebration, in which he ran around swinging his shirt around his head, is remembered more than the actual goal itself.
The 40-year-old, now United's assistant manager, said: "The defining moment as a player - there's only one - is the Arsenal goal.
"I don't think I did anything before or after that goal, because that's all people talk about.
Unfortunately, I will never, ever live down the chest hair
"So, the rest of my career's just forgotten about, which isn't a bad thing. It wasn't a bad goal.
"Unfortunately, I will never, ever live down the chest hair. That Arsenal goal just kept getting shown so many times, I wish they would cut it as soon as the ball hits the back of the net."
Former team-mate Paul Scholes said on the strike: "To beat the best goalkeeper in England at the time - David Seaman - he smashed it above him. But the best thing about it is the celebration."
