ARSENE WENGER has revealed that he came close to signing Juventus winger Kingsley Coman.

The Frenchman tried to lure the 19-year-old in the summer transfer window of 2014 from Paris Saint-Germain, but he opted for a move to the Serie A side instead.
“Yes we really tried to sign Kingsley Coman in the summer of 2014,” Wenger confirmed to beIN sports.
“The transfer was almost completed, but he preferred Juventus.”
Coman is currently enjoying his time on a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich where he has been impressing under Pep Guardiola.

Bayern are understood to have paid £5million for the youngster and have the option to make the move permanent for an estimated fee of £16m in 2017.
