Manchester United in 'front row' to sign £20m Serie A star
MANCHESTER UNITED are in the 'front row' to sign Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to reports.
Manchester United are reportedly frontrunners for Lucas Biglia
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim United are the frontrunners, despite interest from Serie A rivals Juventus and Inter Milan.
Lazio haven't reached an agreement with Biglia over a new deal, meaning he has just two years left to run and the Italian club are looking to cash in.
It's said the defensive midfielder could go for a fee in the region of £20million and he has impressed this term, making 31 appearances and scoring five goals in all competitions.
United are reportedly looking to bring in the Argentinian as a short-term replacement for Michael Carrick - who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Biglia open to Premier League move
Biglia signed for Lazio from Danish side Anderlecht in 2013 for just £6.6m and has since become a fan favourite, earning the captain's armband.
The 30-year-old is also a seasoned Argentina international. He has earned 37 caps and represented his country at the 2014 World Cup and last year's Copa America.
