Manager confirms interest in Celtic job minutes after Ronny Deila confirms exit
NEIL LENNON has confirmed he would be interested in a return to Celtic Park after Ronny Deila's departure was revealed.
Lennon was Bolton manager until he left in March
Deila today confirmed his departure from the club at the end of this season after Celtic were beaten on penalties in a thrilling Old Firm derby.
The Hoops came from behind twice, once in extra time, to draw 2-2 after 120 minutes before losing 5-4 on penalties.
If Lennon is appointed, it will bring to an end a short spell out of work.
The Northern Ireland international left Celtic in May 2014 but was appointed by Bolton just five months later, taking over from Dougie Freedman.
But he won only 18 of his 79 games in charge of the Championship club and left by mutual consent in March.
And now he could head back to Parkhead to add to his Celtic trophy cabinet which already holds eight league titles and six Scottish Cups.
