Former Chelsea coach urges Antonio Conte to sign this Premier League legend
STEVE CLARKE has told Antonio Conte to make a new contract for John Terry a top priority.
Steve Clarke says John Terry should be handed a new deal
Terry announced in February that he would not be handed a new one-year deal by the club, saying it would 'not be a fairytale ending'.
However, since Jose Mourinho's departure, the door has been left open for the long-serving defender.
And former Blues coach Clarke thinks new manager Conte would be wise to re-sign him at the end of the season for his qualities on and off the field.
"I think he should keep John, even if it's just to help him settle into the club," he told Sky Sports News.
