West Ham offer Liverpool and Man City hope: Cresswell contract situation revealed
WEST HAM are "in no rush" to award Aaron Cresswell another new contract.
Aaron Cresswell has missed just one Premier League game for West Ham in two years at the club
Interest from Liverpool and Manchester City has sparked reports of a possible summer departure from east London.
The left-back has been a hugely successful signing for the Hammers since arriving from Ipswich in 2014.
Cresswell's two full seasons in West Ham's team have led to shouts for an England call-up, and Jurgen Klopp apparently wants to bring him to Anfield.
A Hammers spokesman told the Evening Standard: “We review the contracts of our players all the time but there is no rush with Aaron as his deal still has six years to run, including an option period.”
Having paid just £4million for the former Championship defender, West Ham would no doubt earn a healthy profit on Cresswell should he leave.
The Sun claim Liverpool are willing to bid £15m for the Hammers, although co-chairman David Sullivan has insisted none of West Ham's star players will be sold this summer.
