Liverpool won’t consider offers for Emre Can amid Juventus interest - Gianluca Di Marzio
LIVERPOOL are reportedly refusing to entertain any bids for Emre Can with Juventus upping their attempts to sign the midfielder.
The Germany international has been subject to plenty of interest from the Serie A champions this summer.
Can’s future at Anfield remains in doubt with just under one year left on his current contract.
Negotiations have been going on for some months now but the club and player are yet to come to an agreement.
It was reported last week Juventus would be willing to pay £23million for the midfielder.
Liverpool are not willing to sell Emre Can
Jurgen Klopp is confident Emre Can will sign a new contract
But Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio insist Liverpool are not open to negotiating with any clubs interest in Can.
“For Emre Can, Liverpool will not consider any offers,” Di Marzio said on his website.
Jurgen Klopp has remained adamant the 23-year-old will remain at Anfield despite his contract situation.
The Liverpool boss admitted last night he wasn’t happy a deal hasn’t been agreed, but is confident Can will pen a new deal.
“So far there is no signing and that is the situation,” Klopp said.
“We are still in talks. Do I think it is too cool that we didn’t fix it so far? No, to be honest. But it is all okay at the moment and we have to take it like this.
“His mind is not elsewhere. It is an important contract for him at his age.”
