Celtic signing Patrick Roberts takes them up a notch - Chris Sutton
CHRIS SUTTON has hailed Celtic's imminent loan deal for Manchester City midfielder Patrick Roberts.
Celtic's Patrick Roberts scores a double against St Johnstone
Roberts spent last season on loan at Celtic, helping them win the Scottish Premiership under Brendan Rodgers.
The youngster scored 11 goals from 47 games last season after Manchester City allowed him to go.
Some expected Roberts to be part of City's Premier League squad for this season given his impressive performances last term.
But the 20-year-old looks set to have another chance to set Scottish football alight under Brendan Rodgers.
Sutton, meanwhile, spent six years at Celtic Park between 2000 and 2006.

The former England striker said earlier this week he thought Roberts' return was imminent.
And the 44-year-old thinks Roberts' arrival is a huge boost for Rodgers' side.
"I don't like to tell you I told you so.... But I did," he tweeted to BT Sport.
"Roberts is a signing that takes this Celtic team up a notch."
